Start with models, approximate counts and your location. An inventory file is optional. Flag any Activation Lock / MDM enrollment so we can scope it. We review condition, locks and logistics before confirming an offer.
Preparing an Apple fleet is a shared effort. You release the devices from your management and account services; arcITAD provides guidance and handles data sanitization, reconciliation and settlement. Flag anything still locked so we can scope it accurately.
Drives and storage are routed to data sanitization aligned with NIST SP 800-88 guidelines, or to physical destruction by scope, under documented chain of custody.
Received assets are reconciled against your inventory, audited and graded, then final values are confirmed and settled with documentation.
Direct regional pickup — Greater Philadelphia, eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and the NYC metro — is our local service area. Beyond that, suitable collection and logistics can be arranged across the contiguous 48 states and Washington, D.C., depending on project size, value and scope and agreed costs. This includes coordinated collection when appropriate, not shipping or freight only outside the regional area.

Devices with Activation Lock, active MDM enrollment or account locks have limited or reduced recoverable value until they are released. Releasing them is the owner's step: you remove devices from Apple Business Manager or Apple School Manager and clear MDM enrollment and Activation Lock / account locks, and arcITAD provides guidance. Flag any locked devices early so we can account for them in the scope.

Every project includes standard sanitization, inventory, exception and closeout reports. Enhanced outputs — serial-level inventory, building or location mapping, specialized certificates, enhanced chain-of-custody or GPS tracking, and custom reports — are separately quoted or expressly bundled into your scope rather than included automatically.
An initial quote is based on the information you provide. Final values are confirmed after received assets are audited, tested and graded, and are adjusted if actual condition, function, lock state or quantity differs from what was described.
