School Fleet Buyback
Recover value from school- and district-owned laptops, MacBooks, iPads and Chromebook fleets — through a direct buyout for eligible devices, or value that offsets the cost of retiring older equipment, with device-release guidance, scoped data handling, and reconciliation and reporting matched to your requirements.

Only the basics are required — your contact details, roughly what you're retiring, and your location. Model groups, counts, condition, building access and inventory are optional and can be approximate or Unknown. After your first save we review the details and follow up to confirm which devices carry value and which need paid processing before any work.
For fleets with sufficient resale value, a direct buyout for eligible devices — most common with newer MacBooks, iPads and staff laptops.
Recoverable value from higher-value devices can offset the cost of retiring older, low-value equipment, so a mixed refresh is documented and reconciled as one project.
Older or low-value Chromebooks and similar devices may carry little or no resale value and can require paid, documented processing and recycling.

Direct regional pickup — Greater Philadelphia, eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and the NYC metro — is our local service area. Beyond that, suitable collection and logistics can be arranged across the contiguous 48 states and Washington, D.C., depending on project size, value and scope and agreed costs. This includes coordinated collection when appropriate, not shipping or freight only outside the regional area.
Use this as an independent second quote on your school or Apple fleet — across eligible value, device-release guidance, data handling, reconciliation and reporting. Sharing or uploading another offer is optional. We compare on total project cost, data handling, reporting and settlement — independently, and we don't promise to beat a price.

Chromebooks vary widely in value. Newer managed units may carry resale value; older ones often have little or none and can require paid, documented processing and recycling. We scope the mix and are clear about which devices offset costs and which carry a processing fee before any work begins.
Releasing devices is the district's step, and arcITAD provides guidance. You remove devices from Apple School Manager (Apple devices) and the Google Admin console (Chromebooks), release them from MDM enrollment, and clear any account or Activation Lock. Locked or still-enrolled devices carry limited or reduced recoverable value until released, so flag them up front and we'll scope them. Drives and storage are then routed to data sanitization aligned with NIST SP 800-88 guidelines, or to physical destruction by scope, under documented chain of custody.
Every project includes standard sanitization, inventory, exception and closeout reports. Enhanced outputs — serial-level inventory, per-school or building-level reconciliation and mapping, specialized certificates, enhanced chain-of-custody or GPS tracking, and custom reports — are separately quoted or expressly bundled into your scope rather than included automatically.
An initial quote is based on the information you provide. Final values are confirmed after received assets are audited, tested and graded, and are adjusted if actual condition, function, lock state or quantity differs from what was described.
